3 Day . Painting from Plein-Air to the Studio
The workshop will focus on painting and gathering material outside with the purpose of producing studio work. The class will spend 2 days in the field at a working ranch and an older neighborhood with southwest architecture, learning to gather material correctly for studio work. The last day will be spent in the studio focusing on how to compose and translate the field work into a larger studio painting.
We will cover techniques and the different kinds of equipment needed in the studio.
Daily demonstrations are in oil and critiques are given everyday.
We will paint from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
