with a Special Q&A Session
• We've organized the first ever paint-out with Nancy Guzik & Timothy R. Thies in two beautiful private gardens in Tucson, Arizona. Plus, we've added a special Q&A session with Nancy & Timothy on Thursday afternoon back at the Academy.
• Refine your skills and knowledge of Plein Air Painting during this rare opportunity to view the artists approach to the challenges of painting florals outdoors. The emphasis will be on edges, values and drawing, and the essential thought process necessary to bring your Art to the next level..
• Personal attention will be given to every course participant and constructive critiques will be held on paintings done during the workshop in a group setting.
• The intention and purpose of this rare experience is to inspire you with knowledge and information to help you improve your paintings and to express the beauty that surrounds us. Bring your own easels, paints and supplies. Color charts are highly recommended.
• Plus, included in the price of the two day Paint-Out, Friday evening, March 19th from 6:00-7:30pm. Kristen Thies, co-owner of West Wind Fine Art, will give a digital presentation titled: "The Success Mindset for the Visual Artist." Her talk is based on her best selling book: Wisdom & The Dreamer: Achieving Fulfillment in the Arts. The evening will conclude with a special DVD, titled: "Floral Gardens Around the World: Paintings by Timothy R. Thies."
• Plus, Autographed copies of Kristen's book Wisdom & the Dreamer and Nancy's show catalog, Quiet Expressions of Joy, and other Fine Art Books & DVD's by Richard Schmid, Nancy Guzik, George Carlson and others will also be available for sale by West Wind Fine Art.
•Then on Saturday evening, March 20th, join West Wind Fine Art for the Opening of Nancy Guzik’s new show titled, QUIET EXPRESSIONS OF JOY, paintings and drawings of children and florals. Opening 5:00 to 7:30 pm. Show continues March 20-27, 2010 at the Tucson Art Academy's great new space. Nancy Guzik’s show is open to the public. Books, DVDs and prints will also be for sale.
